About the Role
This role requires working autonomously as well as part of a team; and effective and efficient communication, to drive the coordination and production of high quality and compliant bid proposals.
Responsibilities
- Management of the Bid Support Office resources
- Define and look at current practices and processes which are in place (i.e. systems, templates, company information, employee CVs etc. legal documents).
- Design, develop and maintain a knowledge repository for the purposes of submitting quality tenders and proposals.
- Create an opportunity register incorporating a scoring matrix or using bid/no bid questions linked to business strategy
- Track opportunity life cycle of tenders and proposals up to submission.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, Marketing to ensure correct information is fed into knowledge repository.
- Provide input into the planning of tenders and proposals.
- Responsible for the up-skilling of employees in using the available tools for drafting and preparing submission of tenders and proposals.
- Advise Marketing on website updates and changes to assist with winning more opportunities. (Successful tenders/proposals, current clients etc.)
- Follow-up with clients to obtain feedback when tender/proposal is not successful.
- Hold debriefing sessions with teams to provide feedback as to why Bigen was not successful in their tender/proposal submission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical/business writing or journalistic skills or related fields
- The candidate must be registered as an APMP Professional
- A minimum of 10 years' experience within a corporate bid environment and a thorough understanding of tender processes and procedures either in professional services or the infrastructure industry would be a minimum requirement.
- Prior experience in managing multiple projects successfully
- Writing, editing and verifying the accuracy and quality of information used in proposals ensuring relevance and compliance
- Strong proofreading and editing skills, time management, document management and production skills - especially in managing large and multiple documents; as well as the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
- An advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite is required
- Must be self-motivated and highly energetic

Remuneration
Negotiable and based on the candidates qualifications and years of relevant experience.
