Job description

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a Operations Supervisor to join their team in Springs, GP.

This Operations Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that the companies production plant produces and operates effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and procurement of production related inputs
• Introducing and managing operational processes for optimum production outputs
• Product quality control and management
• Maintaining GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards
• Supervising production staff
• Supervising maintenance of production assets
• Supervising sales related documentation and dispatch of goods sold
• Supervising all safety protocols and elements
• Handling staff disciplinary process
• Logistics – Internal (schedule pick-ups/drop offs, maintenance of company vehicle)
• Logistics – External (get quotes, deal with delays and all other related issues)
• Co-ordinate with marketing and wet demo team in the field
• Manage YOUTH PROGRAM candidates and all related issues

Requirements

• Must be technically orientated and qualified and a hands on person.
• Automated extrusion plant requires basic knowledge of PLC inputs.
• Must have matric and at least a T3 or N5 qualification.
• Must have good experience, at least 5 years, in the production environment.
• Must have a good understanding of MS Excel.
• Oversee raw material stock levels considering lead times into raw materials, finished goods.
• Good communicator and report writer.
• Fluent in speaking both official languages.
• Energetic self-starter and innovator.
• Good knowledge of the OHSAct and Regulations, safety and environmental management.
• Must accept appointments as GMR2.1 responsible person in charge of the safe operation of machinery.
