Santam Specialist Business has a career opportunity for a Manager: Operations Heavy Haulage in Heavy Haulage (Transport) team who will be based in Johannesburg. The Heavy Haulage (Transport) team specializes in insuring heavy commercial vehicles in the transport industry.

ROLE PURPOSES
  • To manage and oversee Underwriting Team
  • To manage and oversee credit control function (Binder allocations/ annual premium allocations)
  • Employee Development and upskilling
  • Compliance adherence and reporting function
  • Compliance Reviews – Outsource and Binder (Rm support)
  • System Training for Outsource Partners
  • Recruitment – Administrative and Sales
  • Handling of Complaints and Escalations and Reporting
  • Adherence to service levels
  • Ensure high standards of service to clients and brokers
  • Reporting on all underwriting performance measurements
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Ensure operational administrative and compliance requirements are met including SLA and Underwriting Guidelines are maintained
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Regulatory Requirement (RE5)
  • Any other related Insurance qualifications
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in leading a team
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working within the short-term insurance industry
