Role Purpose
The Operations Manager – Forex Expertise oversees and optimizes SDE’s daily financial operations, with a focus on foreign exchange management and cross‑border transactions.
This senior role requires strong analytical skills, operational rigor, and deep knowledge of the FX and payments industry, ensuring that all transactions are executed efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with international standards.
The successful candidate will play a strategic role in driving operational excellence, risk control, and financial performance across SDE’s regional markets.
Key Responsibilities
1- Forex & Treasury Management
- Monitor and analyze daily foreign exchange rates across major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).
- Define, update, and communicate official daily FX rates applicable across all SDE regional markets.
- Execute and supervise FX operations, settlements, and liquidity flows.
- Manage relationships with partner banks, liquidity providers, and FX brokers.
2- Operational Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end financial operations related to international payments and currency conversions.
- Coordinate between Finance, Compliance, and Regional Offices to ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline transaction workflows and reduce operational risks.
- Guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of all financial operations.
3- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure strict adherence to AML/CFT standards, KYC requirements, and internal control procedures.
- Identify and mitigate operational and market risks in FX transactions.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to maintain alignment with global and regional regulatory frameworks.
4- Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Produce daily and weekly FX and operations reports for management.
- Track performance indicators and propose corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide strategic insights on FX market trends and their operational impact.
Profile Required
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACI Dealing Certificate, CFA, or Treasury Management (CTP) are highly valued.
- Proven experience (5–10 years) in Forex, Treasury, or Banking Operations, ideally within a fintech or financial institution.
- Deep understanding of FX markets, currency risk management, and international payments systems (SWIFT, SEPA, etc.).

- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, or Reuters FX platforms.
- Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).Solid knowledge of compliance frameworks including AML/CFT and operational risk management.
- Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written) – required.
