A logistics firm in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead strategic projects and drive operational excellence across their service centres and distribution networks. Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, a relevant qualification, and a proven track record in operational projects. This role is critical for managing change and enhancing productivity through strong leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Operations Manager to lead strategic projects and drive operational excellence across our service centre's, warehousing and distribution network.
This role focuses on process improvement, project implementation, infrastructure planning, and cross-functional alignment, rather than daily warehouse supervision.
You will work closely with the National Service Centre Manager and the Warehouse Manager, who oversees daily activities on the floor.
5–7 years' experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Proven experience managing operational projects or leading process improvement initiatives.
Strong understanding of warehouse optimization, layout design, and WMS functionality.
Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead change effectively.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma experience (advantageous).
Relevant qualification in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
