Introduction

A growing technical services provider in the IT and networking sector based in Midrand is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and optimise daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across teams. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, people-focused, and able to balance administrative precision with hands‑on leadership.

You will manage assets and equipment, coordinate technical scheduling, and support operational delivery while maintaining alignment with business goals and standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operations and Logistics – Manage all company assets, stock, and equipment; oversee procurement, stock allocation, and logistics for technical teams in multiple regions; maintain accurate asset registers and ensure proper documentation and sign‑offs for equipment issued; coordinate the shipping and receipt of equipment for projects and technical deployments.
  • People Management (6 staff) – Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and recognition; build a cohesive and accountable operations team; conduct regular performance reviews and support development plans; promote company values, collaboration, and service excellence across teams.
  • Scheduling and Coordination – Plan and coordinate daily and weekly activities of the technical network teams; liaise with third parties to arrange access and ensure teams can complete on‑site duties; optimise scheduling to ensure maximum operational efficiency; update internal systems with accurate project and scheduling information.
  • Administration and Reporting – Prepare reports, management packs, and documentation using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; manage executive diaries, calls, and correspondence; handle travel bookings, accommodation, and logistics for executives and technical staff; maintain filing systems, databases, and accurate record‑keeping.
  • General Support – Assist executives with research, presentations, and document preparation; perform other operational or administrative tasks as required by management.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an operational or administrative management role.
  • Previous experience as a senior administrator, coordinator at management level.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems.
  • Experience with stock control and asset management advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
  • Proven track record of staff management - mandatory.
