This role combines the strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Calypso Operations Managerwith the deep accounting and Calypso system expertise of the Lead Accounting professional.

Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for managing people, delivery, cost, and performance within theCalypso business unit while also serving as a pivotal expert in designing, developing, and implementingrobust functional accounting solutions within Calypso.Role Purpose & Objectives : Contribute to effective business operations and align employee objectives with Andile's strategicpillars and OKRs (Objectives & Key Results).

Enhance individual employee performance through goal setting, regular feedback, guidance, andmentorship.

Oversee employee resource allocation, engagement, recognition, compensation, and development,ensuring adherence to Andile's culture and values.

Translate complex client business and accounting requirements into precise functional systemsolutions within Calypso, with a strong focus on back office and accounting functionalities.

Guarantee the highest quality of implemented Calypso accounting solutions, ensuring theymeticulously address original client needs.

Act as a Accounting subject matter expert, fostering continuous learning and development withinthe team to advance Calypso system analysis competence.Key Requirements : Educational Background : A B.Sc.

in Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Electrical / ElectronicEngineering, Financial Accounting / Management, Business Studies / Management, or a similar B.Sc.or B.

degree is relevant.

Postgraduate degrees are advantageous.Knowledge & Expertise : Minimum 8–10 years of uninterrupted Capital Markets experience.Deep understanding of Capital Markets subject matter across asset classes and business areas.In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets technology (functional and / or technical).

People Management expertise.Held formal Senior-level functional and / or technical roles.Experience in multiple Capital Markets deliverable implementations.Previous leadership / management roles.Strong understanding of Accounting and particularly Treasury contexts within Capital Markets.Demonstrated fundamental knowledge of business analysis and system configuration at a senior level, specifically as it pertains to accounting principles and financial workflows within Capital Markets systems.Calypso experience would be advantageous, but not a strict requirement.Skills : Strong leadership, management, emotional intelligence, and communication skills are essential.Exceptional communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.Strong prioritisation skills to manage multiple concurrent accounting-related tasks.Ability to foster a collaborative environment within the team to achieve superior collective outcomes.Core Responsibilities : Lead the elicitation of intricate client accounting system requirements, translating them into comprehensive functional specifications.Design and architect sophisticated functional Calypso accounting solutions, ensuring alignment with client financial operations.Guide and oversee system configuration and potentially development of system software to deliver precise accounting solutions.Define, validate, and document robust functional testing strategies for accounting modules, encompassing unit, functional / integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.Produce high-quality documentation for all aspects of system analysis, including requirements, solutions, and testing, coupled with rigorous solution verification to ensure adherence to accounting specifications before deployment.Effectively engage with all relevant stakeholders, including finance and accounting teams, to ensure seamless functional delivery.Provide expert system maintenance and client assistance for implemented accounting solutions.Behavioural Success Factors : Essential : Leading people, culture champion, upholding standards, understanding others, decisive decision-making, empowering individuals, valuing people, effective interpersonal interaction, and producing high output.Important : Proactive action, pursuing goals, meeting deadlines, teamwork, adapting to change, providing insights, developing strategies, establishing rapport, convincing others, conveying self- confidence, inviting feedback, and showing composure.Accountability : This is a Line Management role with Senior Functional / Technical accountability, reporting tothe Calypso Business Manager.
