Ideal & Selected Candidates in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to plan and manage daily operations across construction, maintenance, machine hire, and waste management. The role demands strong leadership, reliability and the ability to work under pressure.

You will coordinate vehicles, trucks and machinery, oversee staff and client relations, ensure safety and timely delivery, and work closely with management.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Code 10/14 advantage).
• Experience in construction and maintenance work.
• All-rounder with knowledge of machinery and trucks.
• Sober habits.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Team player.
• Must be able to work long hours when needed.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily operations.
• Manage staff and operators.
• Coordinate vehicles, trucks, machinery and equipment.
• Oversee construction and maintenance work.
• Coordinate machine hire, waste management and water deliveries.
• Ensure work is completed on time and safely.
• Assist with sales & client relations.
• Work closely with clients, work orders and operational issues.
• Monitor vehicles, machinery, fuel and maintenance.
• Work closely with management and administration.
• Be a hands-on person who can step in where needed.
