Our client is looking for a skilled Senior IT Operations Manager Linux & Infrastructure to join their dynamic team based in Gauteng . Qualifications / Experience Needed

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Relevant Unix / Linux / Red Hat certification
• ITIL process knowledge and work experience (advantageous)

Minimum 8 Years experience in an operations environment

Essential Skills

• Proven experience with Unix / Linux operating systems (SUSE)
• VCS / VCP Qualification in Veritas Infoscale Storage and Availability or equivalent experience (5 years in a service provider environments) in predominantly linux environments
• Proven experience in operations or process management in complex production environments
• Tolerance for managing high and critical incidents in high-pressure environments
• Extensive experience in IT-Operations standby support and ticket management
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Terraform Python Bash or PowerShell
• Excellent organizational multitasking and decision-making abilities
• Understanding and adapting to PIC processes
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Advantageous Skills

• Deep ITSM knowledge preferably in ServiceNow or Remedy
• Experience with SAP and Oracle systems in terms of management maintenance OS patching and day to day monitoring
