Job description

Operations Executive – Pharmaceuticals

Vital Health Foods, Kuils River, Western Cape

Productively applying all available resources and assets to produce quality products according to pharmaceutical standards, you will ensure that it meets all the needs of the clients in the most cost-effective way.

Responsibilities

• Implement and comply with the BRC, HACCP, ISO, and food safety standards to ensure that products of the highest efficacy, quality, safety, and legality are produced.
• Ensure that all products are manufactured and packed according to company procedures and meeting GMP, MCC, TGA, HACCP, BRC, ISO, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic legislative requirements, as appropriate.
• Ensure high standards of safety, health, hygiene, and security in the factory.
• Ensure that staff are trained, equipped, and motivated through effective staff management processes.
• Ensure that Vital's procedures are implemented throughout relating to factory output, discipline, safety, quality, job performance.
• Implement projects for continuous improvement and ensure that optimal efficiencies of materials, equipment, and labour are achieved.

Qualifications

• Degree or national diploma in Operations Management or equivalent.
• 10 years' production management in an FMCG / pharmaceutical environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP, production and continuous improvement processes, MRP, quality standards, relevant legislation (OSH Act, BCEA), raw materials, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
• Excellent problem solver, strategic thinker with outstanding people management skills.
