Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory/Operations Assistant in Johannesburg to support inventory management, order follow‑ups, and ERP data maintenance. You will work with warehouses, branches, and consignments to ensure accurate records and smooth day‑to‑day operations.

The role requires a relevant degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain, basic Excel skills, and fluent English. SAP knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support orders for instrumentation and implants, including back orders, confirmations and expected delivery dates.
• Track shipments and clearances, review shipping documentation, and liaise with forwarders and clearing agents.
• Assist with daily replenishment and stock planning for branches and customer consignments.
• Help maintain item master data in the ERP system and support MRP/DRP activities.
• Assist with cycle counts and, with approval, inventory adjustments.
• Monitor stock levels, including safety stock, expiring products and quality‑hold stock.
• Prepare and review weekly reports, and support product recall activities as needed.
• Follow applicable SOPs, work instructions, and legal, regulatory, health and safety, and ISO requirements.

What You Can Expect

Join the South Africa Commercial Operations team and gain hands‑on exposure to inventory management, distribution and operational processes. Working with the Senior Operational Efficiency & Inventory Specialist, you'll support activities across warehouses, branches and customer consignment locations, contributing to accurate inventory records and reliable day‑to‑day operations.

Your Background
