About Role: The LEAD program is an accelerated growth career program that takes two years on average and emphasizes your experience in leadership and career development.
The program has a comprehensive framework, depending on your chosen field, that covers on-the-job training through sub-functional and cross-functional rotations, stretch assignments and learning and training.
When you embark on your journey with us, you will participate in two-week onboarding programs to learn about the company and all important areas of the organization. You will also be guided by various managers at different stages of the project and coached by a mentor who is usually a leader of the organization.
Towards the end of the journey, you will be assessed on your overall performance and provided a job placement opportunity if you are performing well.
You will also pair with a buddy who is a program associate to support each other throughout the journey.
We are looking for agile problem solvers who enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative manufacturing environment to be our next Operations LEAD Associate.
LEAD Associates receive in-depth exposure to multiple areas/divisions of our business.
Our program is flexible and passionate about the development needs of our associates alongside the needs of the business. We are considering individuals who are passionate about working in Operations, actively engaging and leading projects that aim to improve productivity, efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
The Associate could work in the following areas: Process and Quality Engineering, Project Engineering, Enterprise Lean, Sigma.
What you will be doing: The primary roles and responsibilities of this Early Careers Program Associate will be to learn and implement the Lean and Six Sigma principles across Operations in South Africa by leading and conducting problem solving efforts and proposing resolutions utilizing these fundamental tools.

From Day 1, networking is encouraged, promoted and expected within the program.
As you are on-boarded with other LEAD associates from the various tracks, you quickly develop a community with new, current, and recently graduated associates all committed to make sure you have what it takes to succeed.
LEAD has one single objective i.e. Build leaders at every level to lead Avery Dennison's business and market expansion journey.
Based on the 6-month reviews and an overall review before you graduate from the program, with excellent performance, you will have the opportunity to land a permanent role with us.

Essential skills and requirements: Bachelor's Degree majoring in Industrial Engineering, Operations and Production Management or a related field; Computer Proficiency (MS Office, G Suite); Written/Spoken English Communication.
The stipend being offered for the LEAD Program will be R18, per month.
The stipend above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
