Job summary

SAB in Empangeni is seeking an experienced Depot Operations Manager to develop and manage business and financial plans for depot operations. You will ensure resource management, stock availability, and safe, compliant operations while driving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and manages business and financial plans and budgets.
• Ensures resource management and achievement of business targets.
• Oversees the Warehouse to ensure stock availability and quality.
• Oversees the Distribution function to ensure planned volume targets are met.
• Manages subordinates, monitors industrial relations and ensures compliance with legislative requirements and maintains a healthy industrial relations climate.
• Oversees and controls cash management.
• Manages ongoing performance and training and development of staff.
• Ensures a safe and healthy working environment to meet required safety and legislative standards.
• Ensures asset protection.
• Negotiates and manages all service contracts e.g. cleaning, catering etc.
• Optimise information systems within the Depot.

The key purpose of this role is to develop, implement and manage business and financial plans for Depot operations. To satisfy customers service needs and optimize, develop and safeguard resources and eliminate waste.
