Requirements :

  • Grade12, Basic qualifications accredited with the SANC in terms of Government notice R425 (i.e., Diploma/Degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as professional nurse The incumbent must be in the possession of evidence of Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse, A minimum of 7 years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC, at least 3 years of the period referred to the above must be appropriate/recognizable experience in neonatal unit and post basic Nursing administration will be an added advantage. Basic computer literacy is essential.

Duties :

  • Leadership, ward management/ward administration, planning, organizing coordination and communication skills. Ability to take charge and make appropriate independent decisions. Display empathy for patients, promoting. advocacy and facilitating holistic treatment and care. Knowledge of administrative policies and Guidelines. An understanding of all Nursing Legislation and Health Act.
