Duties & Responsibilities

My client is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Operational Financial Manager to join their leadership team.

As part of Manco, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance while enabling long‑term business success.

This senior role requires a strong balance between strategic vision and hands‑on operational management. This role is based in Menlyn, Pretoria East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Planning – Lead the budgeting and forecasting process while aligning financial planning with the company's long‑term strategy.
  • Financial Operations Management – Oversee daily financial operations, ensure strong internal controls, and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax legislation, and internal policies, while implementing robust risk management practices.
  • Leadership & Team Development – Inspire, lead, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and operational excellence.
  • Audit & Reporting – Manage the external audit process and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with insightful commentary for executive management.
  • Performance Analysis – Analyse financial data to identify strengths, weaknesses, risks, and opportunities, providing sound strategic recommendations to drive growth and profitability.
Job Experience and Skills Required
  • A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA(SA) or equivalent preferred).
  • Proven track record in a senior financial management role with operational oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach to financial operations.
