A healthcare provider is seeking to hire an Operational Emergency Care Practitioner in Vanderbijlpark, Emfuleni. The role demands delivering excellent critical care based on sound clinical judgment and includes overseeing operational readiness for emergency calls. Candidates must possess a Btech degree in Emergency Medical Care and have operational EMS experience. This is a permanent onsite position.

Qualifications

• Completed training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa is advantageous.
• Newly qualified ECP / Operational EMS experience is essential.
• Previous EMS Operational experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
• Administer patient care in line with scope of practice.
• Market and maintain a positive public image for ER24.
• Provide basic shift administration services.

Skills

Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

Knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice

Understanding of facilities, travel routes, and demographics

Application of best practices in EMS environment

Education

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To deliver excellent critical care within the operational environment based on sound clinical judgment, current evidence, and to display clinical leadership with ER24.

Required Education

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Bachelors of Technology (Btech) Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor Emergency Medical Care
• DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.
