About the Role

Our client is seeking an Online Teacher in Front-End Development to support and mentor higher education students through modern, industry-relevant web development training.

The role is fully remote and open to candidates based in South Africa or Norway.

It requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver live online classes, recorded sessions, and activity-based learning
  • Update and maintain course materials to reflect the latest industry standards
  • Mentor and guide students, providing constructive feedback and project support
  • Assess student progress through assignments, evaluations, and practical projects
  • Collaborate with other educators to align curriculum and teaching approaches
  • Facilitate student engagement through discussions, Q&A, and consistent communication
  • Bring current industry insights and tools into the learning environment
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Relevant education in front-end development, web design, programming, or similar (minimum two-year vocational level)
  • Minimum two years of industry experience
  • Strong English communication
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Front-end frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • FIGMA knowledge
  • Latest JavaScript productivity tools
  • JavaScript tooling: package managers, build tools, linters, formatters
  • Agile development methodologies
  • CSS frameworks: Tailwind, Bootstrap, and component libraries
  • WordPress REST APIs and Firebase
  • Git version control (branching, workflows, pull requests)
  • E2E testing including Playwright
  • Ability to create meaningful functional tests
Additional Experience (Advantageous)
  • Previous teaching or pedagogical training
  • Online higher education teaching experience; Familiarity with Moodle or similar LMS platforms
  • Proficiency with Zoom, Teams, or WebEx
  • Norwegian language ability
