A growing retail media company is seeking a Sales Trainer / Manager to lead remote training in South Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing high-performing sales teams and be skilled in utilizing technology to enhance training. We operate a national network of indoor wellness billboards and sell placements to local businesses on a one-call close model.
We're upgrading our sales engine and need a hands-on trainer / manager who can lead people, run remote training at scale, and install tech-enabled, repeatable systems.
Up to R, annually plus performance bonus!
Own the training program end-to-end: curriculum, live Zoom workshops, recorded modules, playbooks, certification.
Manage and coach reps / leads weekly (1:1s, call reviews, scorecards), holding the team accountable to KPIs.
Implement tech-enabled workflows: LMS / Zoom, call recording / QA tools, dashboards, pipeline hygiene in CRM, and AI-assisted coaching.
Audit & upgrade the sales process (scripts, objection trees, urgency / closing frameworks) and drive adoption across teams.
Partner with leadership & marketing to align messaging, offers, and enablement assets.
Report on outcomes: ramp time, close rate, ASP, talk time, show rate, next-step set rate.
Proven management experience: you've led teams, not just taught classes; you set standards, inspect what you expect, and improve talent.
Remote training mastery: Zoom, LMS, call-recording / QA tools; you build scalable, on-demand learning.
Data & tech fluency: CRM (HubSpot / Salesforce), dashboards, scorecards, call-analytics / QA, AI coaching tools.
Operational rigor: playbooks, certification paths, onboarding checklists, weekly cadences.
Communication & presence: crisp, direct, and motivational; high bar for professionalism and results.
Remote within South Africa (U.S. time-zone friendly)
Contract-to-hire or project-based with clear milestones.
Competitive comp; upside tied to team performance improvements.
