Description/Synopsis
Join this leader in Renewable Energy as an On-site Sales Executive, where you’ll be at the forefront of driving renewable energy adoption in South Africa. In this role, you’ll focus on selling large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to commercial and industrial clients. You’ll be responsible for building strong client relationships, tailoring energy solutions to meet customer needs, and closing high-value deals that contribute to a sustainable energy future.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years’ B2B sales experience, ideally within renewable energy or infrastructure.
- Proven track record in selling complex technical/commercial solutions (Solar PV, BESS, or related).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Strong technical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with stakeholders across all levels.
- Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple opportunities effectively.
- Experience with renewable financing models (PPAs, leases, capital purchases).
- Knowledge of South African energy regulations (NERSA, Eskom, municipal frameworks).
- Experience working with large commercial/industrial clients (mining, manufacturing, logistics, property).
- Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).
Main Responsibilities
- Drive profitable sales of Solar PV and BESS projects through direct client engagement and strategic sales initiatives.
- Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities into signed deals with commercial and industrial clients.
- Sell through PPA, lease, and capital purchase models tailored to client needs.
- Prepare proposals, lead in-person presentations, and manage contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with technical, project, finance, and legal teams to deliver robust client solutions.
- Maintain strong, long-term client and partner relationships through site visits, strategic discussions, and excellent customer experience.
- Handle sales administration, CRM updates, proposals, and follow-ups.
- Support project approvals, credit checks, and documentation processes.
- Provide accurate and timely sales reporting.
