Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Child Development Facilitator for an on-site role in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate programs for children, monitor progress, and communicate with parents to support their child's growth and participation in community programs.

The role emphasizes safe, engaging environments, teamwork with facilitators and staff, and ongoing professional development within a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Development or related field.
• Experience working directly with children in educational settings.
• Strong understanding of child development milestones and pedagogy.
• Excellent facilitation and group management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate programs and activities for children.
• Facilitate learning experiences that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to supervisors and parents.
• Maintain safe and stimulating learning environments in line with health and safety standards.
• Build positive relationships with children and foster their social skills.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about development and participation.
• Collaborate with other facilitators and staff to share best practices.
• Maintain program materials and resources.
