Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to call-outs as scheduled or requested by management or clinical staff.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer treatments or medications as prescribed.
- Provide wound care, injections, IV therapy, or other nursing interventions as required.
- Support doctors and other healthcare professionals in diagnostic or treatment procedures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient documentation and reports.
- Educate patients and families on post-care, medication adherence, and follow-up procedures.
- Ensure proper infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain readiness for call-outs, including ensuring equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and functional.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to coordinate patient care.
- Provide professional representation of the organization during all call-outs.
Qualifications
- Registered Professional Nurse (with current registration with the South African Nursing Council – SANC).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-registration nursing experience (clinical or community nursing preferred).
Driver's License
Valid driver's license and reliable transport (essential).
Availability
Must be flexible and available for on-call duties, including after-hours and weekends.
