Job summary

Rand Refinery offers a 12-month fixed-term Graduate Programme for OHS graduates, based in Johannesburg East Rand. The programme provides practical workplace experience, structured development, on-the-job training and mentorship in occupational health and safety environments.

Successful applicants will gain exposure to compliance initiatives, risk assessments and safety documentation within customer-focused teams, supported by coaching and performance feedback throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Higher National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or equivalent
• National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Bachelor of Environmental Health with Occupational Hygiene

Responsibilities

• Assist with occupational health and safety compliance initiatives.
• Support workplace inspections and risk assessments.
• Participate in health and safety awareness programmes.
• Assist with incident reporting and safety documentation.
• Work within customer-focused operational teams.
• Attend mentorship and work-readiness training sessions.
• Receive and implement mentor feedback.
• Support the promotion of safe working environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and compliance activities.
