Job summary

A global leader in engineering services is seeking a Radio Operator Purser to operate and maintain radio and communication equipment on board. You will ensure compliance with maritime communication regulations and maintain a continuous watch on safety communications. The ideal candidate must have required STCW certifications and at least three years of experience in offshore administration as a radio operator. This position is based in various locations worldwide, with current operations in Brazil.

Qualifications

• Completion of all STCW 95 (and amendments) required certificates.
• Experience in offshore vessel administration.
• Three years' experience as a radio operator.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with SOLAS and ITU radio regulations.
• Maintain a continuous watch on distress communications.
• Log and arrange incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Organize radio communications as required.

Skills

Knowledge of English

Three years' experience as a radio operator

Medical fitness

Dangerous goods by air (CAA)

Helideck radio operator

Education

STCW Certificate of Competency (GMDSS) IV/2

National certificate of competence and endorsement Reg. IV/2

Completion of STCW training requirements
