Office Cleaner position available in Springs.
The Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment within the administrative office areas of the manufacturing facility.
This role requires strong communication skills to interact with staff, the ability to read and follow written instructions, and strict adherence to confidentiality for all business documentation and discussions in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Cleaning, dusting, and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces (e.g., desks, tables, shelves, windowsills).
- Sweeping and mopping hard floors (tiled or vinyl).
- Cleaning and disinfecting all kitchen/eating areas, including counters, sinks, and appliances (microwaves, fridges).
- Washing dishes when required or needed.
- Cleaning and sanitising admin restrooms, including toilets, basins, and replenishing soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Emptying waste bins and recycling containers and transporting waste to designated disposal areas.
- Maintenance and Supplies
- Monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and office groceries (Tea, coffee, etc), water coolers, and other relevant office consumables and submitting requests for replenishment on time.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damage, or hazards (e.g., leaky taps, broken fixtures) immediately.
- Other
- Assist the Admin Assistant or Receptionist with coffee/tea and refreshments for visitors/executives as and when requested.
- Any other reasonable task
Requirements:
- Language & Literacy: Fluent in spoken English to communicate with staff and supervisors effectively.
- Must be able to read and write in English to understand work schedules, cleaning instructions, product labels, etc.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated understanding and commitment to maintaining strict business confidentiality.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 15 kg), and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for the duration of the shift.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong attention to detail.
- Confidentiality and Security: Strictly adhering to company policy on confidentiality. This includes not reading, discussing, or disclosing any documents, correspondence, computer screens, or conversations encountered during cleaning duties.
