Job summary

A leading trading and projects firm in Gauteng is seeking an experienced administrator to provide support to management and project teams. The candidate should have over 2 years of experience in administration, ideally within a technical environment, and possess strong organisational and communication skills. Responsibilities include managing reception, preparing reports, and assisting with HR processes. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' admin experience in an engineering / technical environment is an advantage.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and eager to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

Job description
What you will do?
  • Act as the first point of contact at reception: welcoming visitors, managing calls, and handling inquiries.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to management, technical, and project teams as required.
  • Prepare reports, assist with reconciliations, and support month-end processes.
  • Manage employee files, leave, time sheets, and onboarding administratively.
  • Coordinate meetings, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with procurement, supplier management, and HR processes (Open Vendors and manage compliance, prepare tender documents).
  • Keep office operations and project administration organised and efficient.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
What we're looking for?
  • 2+ years' admin experience (engineering / technical environment is an advantage).
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Diploma / Certificate in Administration, Office management or related field.
  • Valid driver's license (preferable).
