Job summary

A renewable energy development firm in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee a 45 MW off-grid solar project. This role requires extensive experience in managing large EPC projects and stakeholder governance. The ideal candidate will ensure project delivery aligns with financial and operational excellence standards, while effectively leading a multidisciplinary team. This is a 24-month project-based contract with potential for permanent transition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience managing large EPC projects (≥ 20 MW Solar PV).
• Demonstrated success in leading major renewable or infrastructure projects.
• Prior leadership of multi-site solar PV and BESS integration projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a 45 MW off-grid solar project.
• Ensure accountability for project's cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
• Chair the Project Steering Committee and maintain governance standards.
