A leading healthcare provider in Johannesburg is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse for a full-time position. Responsibilities include maintaining health programs, monitoring employee health, coordinating emergency procedures, and ensuring compliance with health standards. About the Role

A vacancy exists for an Occupational Health Nurse, based at Life Health Solutions in Johannesburg Area. The successful candidate is required to work 40 hours per week and will report to the Business Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordination, measurement and follow‑up of various aspects of occupational health outputs in a mixed service delivery model, ensuring effective, efficient delivery outcomes that exceed customers’ expectations and requirements.

Critical Outputs
  • Maintenance of an Occupational Health program to establish the physical, psychological and social well‑being of the worker in a safe working environment.
  • Monitoring the health status of employees through on‑going surveillance programmes according to the SOP.
  • Providing information that the client can utilize to eliminate, control and minimise health risks and hazards to which employees are or may be exposed.
  • Coordination of emergency procedures.
  • Working effectively within a budget and ensuring smooth administration of all aspects of the services.
  • Delivering high‑quality primary healthcare services.
  • Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and the Clients.
  • Ensuring the total satisfaction of our clients through continuous improvement and added value.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards, including internal and external audits (Life Health Solutions as well as client audits).
Requirements
  • Qualifications in General Nursing.
  • Occupational Health Nursing B-Tech/Diploma with 2–3 years relevant experience post‑graduation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Registration with SANC; an additional Occupational Health Nursing qualification must appear on the current SANC receipt.
  • Sound knowledge in the provision of Occupational and Primary Health Care Services.
  • Certificate in dispensing.
  • Certificate in Competency (Spirometry, Audiometry with registration as an Audiometrist with SASOHN, Vision screening).
  • Current certificate in BLS.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience in administration and employee relations, good communication skills.
  • Results‑oriented, initiative and ability to deliver quality outputs.
