Function Nursing Facility Mbombela Position Occupational Health Nurse Introduction

Exciting opportunity exists for Occupational Health Nurse, based at Life Health Solutions Mbombela. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours a week, split between 2 clinics (Monday to Friday). Responsible for the rendering of a quality Occupational Health service, which is effective and efficient, and meets and exceeds customers’ expectations and requirements. This position reports to the responsible Business Manager.

Critical Outputs
  • Occupational Health medical examinations as per legal & client requirements.
  • Occupational Health programme planning and implementation as agreed with the client.
  • Occupational Health Service to establish the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of the worker in a safe working environment.
  • Participate in health risk assessment review with OMP.
  • Implementation of occupational health activities in line with the approved year plan.
  • Trending & comparisons of employee’s health status on a year-to-year basis.
  • Providing information the Client/s can utilize to eliminate, control and minimize health risks and hazards to which the employees are, or may be exposed.
  • Medicines control as per legal and Life standards and requirements.
  • Implementation of Quality processes as per legal and Life standards and requirements, in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
  • Working effectively within a budget.
  • Delivering high quality healthcare services.
  • Meeting administration needs timeously.
  • Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and the client/s.
  • Monthly clinic reporting and client related administration.
  • Checking of first aid boxes.
  • Overtime may be required from time to time, will be discussed and agreed upfront.
  • Attending scheduled training and meetings as required.
Requirements
  • The candidates must be registered as an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner with SANC.
  • Valid certificates in dispensing, audiometry, spirometry and vision screening.
  • A valid certificate in BLS (preferred).
  • Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs and reduce costs, will be most suitable for this position.
  • Customer orientation, focus and teamwork complete the profile.
  • Computer literacy (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook).
  • Own transport and housing will be required.
