Occupational Health Nurse

Introduction

An position exist for Fix term for 8 hours a day once a week Occupational Health Nurse based at Life Health Solutions Bloemfontein clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for the rendering of a quality Occupational Health service which is effective and efficient and meets and exceeds customers expectations and requirements .

Critical Outputs
  • Occupational Health medical examinations as per legal & client requirements Trending & comparisons of employees health status on a year-to-year basis.
  • Providing information the client can utilize to eliminate control and minimize health risks and hazards to which the employees are or may be exposed.
  • Working effectively within a budget.
  • Delivering high quality healthcare services.
  • Meeting administration needs timeously.
  • Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Employee Health Solutions and the client / s
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing with 2 years relevant postgraduation experience in a environment.
  • Registration with SANC (the SANC receipt to reflect the Occupational Health Qualification).
  • Sound knowledge in the provision and management of Occupational and Health Care Services.
  • Certificates in :
  • Spirometry Vision screening and Audiometry as well as up to date SASOHN registration as an Audiometrist Multi-drug testing (preferred)
  • Computer literacy is essential (MS Office Word Excel Power point).
  • Ideally the candidate should have experience in clinic services and employee management and have good communication skills.
  • Candidates who are results orientated have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs will be most suitable for this position.
  • Customer orientation focus and teamwork complete the profile.
  • A complete fitness to work (including a drug test) medical examination will be required conducted at the Offsite clinic
  • Own transport and accommodation - valid driver license
  • Proof of vaccination.
