Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in George, South Africa, is looking for a Professional Nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care in collaboration with a professional team. Qualifications

  • 4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing is essential.
  • Postgraduate qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
  • Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
  • Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
  • Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
  • Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.

Skills

Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)
Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
Infection prevention and control
Nursing processes and procedures
Pharmacology
Scientific nursing principles and process

Education

4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery
Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Critical Care, Emergency Care, Peri-operative Nursing)
