To provide evidence-based nutritional guidance, coaching and lifestyle support to individuals and groups as part of the organisation’s holistic wellness and employee assistance offering. The role focuses on empowering clients to make sustainable health and wellbeing choices through education, personalised coaching, and proactive engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group nutrition consultations via telephone, virtual, or face-to-face.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and develop tailored, practical eating plans aligned with clients’ goals and health needs.
  • Apply behaviour change techniques (e.g. motivational interviewing, SMART goal setting) to support sustainable lifestyle improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals including counsellors, coaches, and wellness specialists to provide integrated support.
  • Contribute to the design and facilitation of wellness campaigns, webinars and educational content on nutrition and health.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and reports, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data and clinical governance standards.
  • Stay informed on current nutrition science, food trends, and health legislation relevant to employee wellness and preventative care.
Qualifications
Person Details: Work Experience
  • 1 – 5 years’ experience providing nutritional counselling or coaching, preferably within a corporate wellness, healthcare, or community-based environment.
  • Exposure to digital or telephonic client engagement and group facilitation advantageous.
  • Experience developing wellness or lifestyle content will be an advantage.
Education and Qualifications: Accreditations with Professional Body
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition (or equivalent)
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dietitian, or with the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA) / Nutrition Society of South Africa (NSSA)
  • Ongoing CPD compliance as per relevant professional body.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic, client-centred approach
  • Sound knowledge of nutrition science, lifestyle disease management, and behaviour modification
  • Confident in using digital tools for virtual consultations and content creation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
