Job summary

Clicks Group in the Northern Cape is seeking a Professional Nurse to manage a clinic, deliver quality services and align with South African Nursing Council regulations and company standards. You will provide immunisations, Well Baby clinics, reproductive health, primary health care and phlebotomy, plus reporting and stock management.

Requirements include registration as a Professional Nurse, a 3-year nursing diploma or 4-year degree, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in diverse nursing

Qualifications

• Registration as Professional Nurse.
• 3 year diploma in nursing or the 4 year degree.
• Minimum of 3 years practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplines, preferably Community Health, Primary Health and Midwifery.
• Unisolv and Allegra (preferable).
• MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage a commercially viable clinic in line with company guidelines.
• Provide lifestyle management screening tests and Well Baby clinics, including immunisations.
• Offer reproductive health services and provide adult immunisations.
• Provide Primary Health Care such as minor ailments and wound care; render a Phlebotomy Service.
• Compile professional, stock and financial management reports and manage clinical waste and safety.

• Provide lifestyle management screening tests
• Conduct “Well Baby” clinics, including health immunisations and baby health monitoring
• Offer and provide reproductive health services
• Provide adult immunisations
• Provide Primary Health Care e.g. minor ailments and wound care
• Render a Phlebotomy Service
• Compile professional, stock and financial management reports
• Manage medical waste, ensure a safe environment and safety precautions are taken
• Manage adverse events and emergencies
• Counsel and advise patients on health information, weight management and refer patients to Pharmacists and other health professionals when appropriate
• Plan and implement “Health Days” and other projects
• Develop health professional networks

• Administration and reporting to ensure efficient running of the clinic as per company policy and processes
• Ensures payment for services received by ensuring controls in place and adhered to
• Manages, monitors and orders clinic services stock and equipment, along with prevention of loss and shrinkage and monitoring cold chain
• Financial and commercial acumen
• Ensures SANC registration and indemnity up to date
