Job summary

Department of Health, Gauteng College of Nursing (Bonalesedi Campus), seeks experienced nursing educators to provide education and training to student nurses and coordinate clinical learning between campus and facilities.

The role requires registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery, plus a nursing education qualification registered with SANC, and 4 years post-registration nursing experience (14 years for PN II with 10 years in education). A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Nursing qualification registered with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery.
• Diploma/degree in Nursing Education registered with SANC.
• Current registration with SANC.
• PND I: 4 years nursing experience after registration (less 1 year for external candidates).
• PND II: 14 years post-registration, 10 years in education after 1-year post basic qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and training to student nurses and coordinate clinical learning between campus and facilities.
• Implement assessment strategies to determine students' competencies.
• Plan and implement the academic programme and manage student databases.
• Initiate and participate in nursing research and community engagement.
