Responsibilities
  • The Nursing Assistant acts under the direction of a Registered Nurse / LPN.
  • The Nursing Assistant assists the nurse in providing patient care in accordance with Hospital policies and patients with Activities of Daily Living which promote general comfort, well being, and safety.
  • Assists in receiving and transporting patients.
  • Participates in the observation of patient conditions and promptly reports changes to the primary nurse.
  • Documents patient care or unit tasks in electronic medical records as per policy.
  • Responds promptly to the needs of patient, communicates patient / family requests, or concerns appropriately and immediately.
  • Demonstrates competency care procedures (foley catheter, enemas, vital signs).
Qualifications
  • 1 – 2 years experience as Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
