Job summary

The role requires a Diploma leading to General Nurse registration or a 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing, with advanced qualifications preferred for specialist units.

Qualifications

• Essential: Diploma leading to General Nurse registration or 4-year Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing.
• Desirable: Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery or Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing in a specialist unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care with a multi-professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure all stock and equipment are accurately charted.
