Compliance and Risk Management: Defined legal, statutory and regulatory compliance is maintained at the required standards. Operational risk and governance structures, measures and frameworks are complied with and necessary action is taken to address issues when necessary.
Total cost savings within the department to assist with financial goals and targets.
Meet delivery objectives through working with other team members within and linked to the department/project. Resolve operational performance variations and problems, and escalates unresolved issues to higher levels. Ensure delivery targets/objectives are met and operate in a supportive manner to achieve successful delivery.
Provide appropriate and impactful telephonic and written counselling, education and support to allocated clients with high risk or long‑term illnesses, thereby reducing hospital admissions and risk factors. Complete required administration and case information on assigned cases to standard and within deadline. Handle and resolve medical and claim related fund queries. Identify high risk patients and clients and, when appropriate, refer to alternative professionals for additional support.
Deliver performance within Human Capital frameworks and policies to ensure delivery to agreed standards and objectives. Engage in development, coaching and mentoring. Support transformation through valuing diversity. Behave in alignment with Afrocentric values.
Ensure appropriate, active and informative relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders are successfully achieved. Address customer or stakeholder complaints in alignment with policies and procedures and ensure customer/stakeholder buy‑in.
Manage and maintain Occupational Health and Wellness programmes to establish the physical, psychological and social well‑being of the worker in a safe working environment. Provide reports and communicate with employees and employer groups. Provide information the client can use to eliminate, control and minimise health risks and hazards to which the employees are or may be exposed. Facilitate and implement Occupational Health Services and/or screening. Monitor the health status of employees through ongoing surveillance programmes. Conduct Wellness and preventative interventions as guided by trends and national health observances. Execute medicine stock control. Manage service level agreements and operational details of companies wherein we provide a product or service. Work effectively within a budget and ensure smooth administration of all aspects of the service. Perform Medical Surveillance and personal health assessments. Perform fitness for work evaluations. Treatment of injuries on duty, ailments, emergencies, monitoring chronic diseases, supervision of DOTS and annual influenza immunization campaign. Attend relevant meetings and participate in health and safety committees. COID administration, implementation and facilitation. Investigate occupational diseases, incidents and incapacity management.
