Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking an Educator to present and facilitate Higher Education and Training programmes for Mediclinic students and staff, helping them become independent healthcare practitioners through both classroom and practical staff training.

The role ensures compliance with Higher Education & Training and AHA standards, designs learning materials, coordinates student processes and supports the learning journey with facilitation of theory and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Professional Nurse qualification required.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education required for Nurse Educators.
• Postgraduate Diploma in a Nursing Specialty (e.g., Critical Care Nursing) if appointed as a specialist nurse educator.
• Master’s degree in Nursing for undergraduate programmes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Higher Education & Training and American Heart Association (AHA) standards
• Design and assess learning materials and interventions
• Facilitate the learning process, incl. theoretical and clinical facilitation
• Coordinate and administer student-related processes
