Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver actuarial projects across life insurance and reinsurance clients
  • Conduct valuations, experience analyses, and reserve calculations
  • Support IFRS 17 implementation, product pricing, and capital modelling initiatives
  • Build and refine actuarial models and reports to provide actionable insights
  • Collaborate closely with clients and consultants to solve complex actuarial problems

Job Experience and Skills Required:

  • Education: BCom / BSc in Actuarial Science or a related quantitative field
  • Student or nearly qualified member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA)
  • Experience: 3+ years actuarial experience, ideally within consulting or life insurance
  • Exposure to IFRS 17, valuations, or product development advantageous
  • Experience in a project-based or client-facing environment beneficial
  • Skills: Strong Excel proficiency; experience with Prophet, R, Python, or SQL advantageous
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
