THE OPPORTUNITY THAT AWAITS YOU Are you a seasoned network engineer with a passion for performance, automation, and scalability?

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and deployment of metric-driven network improvements, ensuring solutions are thoroughly tested, validated, and aligned with performance targets.
• Take ownership of root cause analysis for under performing network segments, implement capacity planning strategies, and recommend configuration enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors (MikroTik, Juniper, Cambium, BDCOM, Ubiquiti) and internal specialist teams to resolve advanced technical issues and support escalated cases.
• Lead analysis of degraded network performance metrics and oversee the implementation of configuration adjustments or infrastructure upgrades as needed.
• Apply and validate changes to network configurations—including routing protocols, Quality of Service (QoS), VLAN segmentation, and firewall rules—ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
• Plan, implement, and maintain OSPF deployments, as well as contribute to IP addressing strategies and firewall rule optimization.
• Develop or oversee the creation of automation scripts and tool integrations to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Mentor and guide Tier 3 engineers on advanced troubleshooting practices and structured root cause methodologies.
• Design logical network topologies, produce technical diagrams, and maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Networks, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP.
• Experience or qualifications in Python scripting or network automation tools.
