Job description

Our client in the network sector is looking for a NOC Data Analyst on a contract duration of 12 months.

Role purpose

The NOC Data Analyst transforms complex data into meaningful insights to enhance operational excellence within the Network Operations Center. This role involves analyzing performance metrics, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to improve network reliability and efficiency. By collaborating with various teams, the analyst ensures data-driven decisions optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. Utilizing data visualization and analytical techniques, the analyst effectively communicates findings and supports organizational goals in telecommunications.

Core competencies knowledge and experience

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis is essential.
• Strong expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar. (Power BI preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis, manipulation, and automation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science).
• 3-5 years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably within the telecommunications IT infrastructure or a similar industry.
• Proficiency in SQL for advanced data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) for dashboard development.
