Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Night Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership during the night shift at ISIPINGO HOSPITAL. You will coordinate nursing services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care, while maintaining governance and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor patient safety, drive infection prevention, manage staffing, and support ongoing quality improvement and staff development in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing, Nursing Management qualification being advantageous.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise with leadership across multiple clinical disciplines.
• Previous supervisory or management experience within an acute hospital environment is advantageous.
• Midwifery qualifications and experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership during the night shift.
• Coordinate nursing services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor patient safety, quality indicators, and clinical outcomes.
• Promote infection prevention and control practices.
• Manage staffing resources and support cost-effective operations.
• Respond to clinical and operational incidents, providing timely leadership and escalation where required.
• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient-centred care.
• Support and develop nursing staff through leadership, coaching, and supervision.
• Collaborate with medical practitioners and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
