Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is looking for reliable and motivated Night attendants to join our teams in Sid Ross, Ayiparinya and Topsy Smith Hostels, Alice Springs NT, help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our facilities and hostels.

All positions are full-time, rostered 75 hours per fortnight.

Ongoing positions may be offered to merit pooled candidates; however non-ongoing opportunities may also be offered for up to 12 months initially with the possibility of an extension.

Merit pooled candidates may also be considered for similar positions for Full-time opportunities.

What We Offer
Competitive Pay & Benefits

$59, - $64, per annum.

You'll receive 15.4% superannuation and generous leave entitlements to make sure you're well looked after.

Remote Locality Allowance

Employees are entitled to the payment of $6, / annum with eligible dependants or $3, / annum without eligible dependents.

Generous shift penalties apply for work after hours, weekends and public holidays.

for vehicles, superannuation and laptops etc PLUS, ability to salary sacrifice $15, per FBT year for rent, mortgage or living expenses. This benefit reduces taxable income, increasing fortnightly take-home pay.

Generous Leave Entitlements

– including additional days off when your RDO falls on a public holiday, 18 days sick / personal leave per annum, cultural and NAIDOC day leave.

The Night Attendant position is an ongoing or non-ongoing, full-time (75 hours) per fortnight. The rostered working period consists of weeknights weekends and includes generous shift penalties.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the security of premises, monitor premises to preserve order and protect property.
  • Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of residents, staff and visitors.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Perform other general cleaning duties to ensure hostel grounds, gardens, windows, and the property are kept clean, tidy and clear for residents.
