Overview

Network Senior Engineer - 12 Month Contract

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Implement and manage network security protocols, including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud integration, data center operations, and remote connectivity.
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on strategic projects.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking platforms.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and other protocols.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent) highly desirable.
