Network Recruitment is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, build, maintain and document secure network infrastructure. The role requires hands-on administration of firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, NAC and IDS/IPS, with emphasis on uptime, security, and change control.

Candidates should hold a Diploma in IT Networking with related certifications and have at least five years of experience. Extended hours and travel may be required to support operations across sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT Networking or related field and relevant networking/security certifications.
• 5 years of hands-on networking and security experience, with product training where applicable.
• Willing to work extended hours and shifts, and to travel as needed.
• ITIL or networking certificates are advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, maintain and document the network security infrastructure.
• Administer firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, NAC and IDS/IPS systems.
• Ensure network availability, performance and security across the organisation.

The Network Engineer role is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and documenting the network security infrastructure.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Relevant IT Networking and Security Certifications, plus appropriate Diploma
• Experience and product-specific training
• 5 Years’ experience
• Willing to work extended hours/shifts
• Willing to travel
• ITIL or Networking certificates (advantageous)
• Administration of Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Network Access Control (NAC), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
