Job summary

St Stithians College invites applications for a part-time Netball Coach at the Girls’ College, available from January 2027. The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ coaching experience and strong leadership, communication, and inclusivity skills within a school environment.

The coach will support athletic development and PE programs and attend weekend tournaments. The position is based on the Girls’ College campus in Sandton and requires a commitment to the school ethos.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of coaching experience in school, university or club environments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

NETBALL COACH (Part-time)

This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be paid a fixed term contract according to their expertise and coaching level.

The Girls’ College invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from January 2027. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.

The requirements for this position are:

• A minimum of 3 years of coaching experience
• A high level of personal netball experience in school, university, and a club environment. Leadership experience is preferable
• Be able to assist within the school’s Athletic Development and Physical Education Programme
• Be well acquainted with the Microsoft and Google suite applications
• A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to fostering and building inclusiveness and diversity.
• An awareness of and willingness to commit to the school’s all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
• Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate before employment can commence

The role will include the following:

• Attend all Girls’ College team practices.
