Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Nursing Unit Manager for the Neonatal ward in Soweto, Gauteng. The role involves planning, coordinating and overseeing nursing care, mentoring staff, managing the ward budget and driving service improvements to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will supervise RNs, ENs and ENAs, oversee clinical procedures, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining patient satisfaction in a private hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current nursing registration (General Nursing).
• PALS certification.
• NRR certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Nursing Administration experience or qualification.
• Neonatal Nursing Science qualification or emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate unit operations to ensure quality patient care.
• Mentor, coach and develop nursing staff in the Neonatal ward.
• Manage the unit budget and drive cost savings.
• Oversee ward clerks, RNs, ENs and ENAs in daily activities.
• Engage with stakeholders to improve service delivery.
• Support parents with emotional care for infants in Neonatal ward.
• Conduct on-the-job training and performance development.
• Record medical consumables for accurate billing.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to coordinate patient care.
