Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa in Stellenbosch is seeking a Professional Nurse specialised in Neonatal to deliver safe, quality nursing care in the neonatal unit. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support mothers and newborns, implement care plans, and document nursing interventions.

Essentially you should hold a General Nursing degree/diploma with postgrad qualifications desirable; 1 year post-graduate experience in a specialised unit preferred.

Qualifications

• Essential degree/diploma in General Nursing.
• Desirable midwifery and postgraduate qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in relevant specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver neonatal nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment to build staff competence.
• Ensure that all stock and equipment are accurately charged.
