Job summary

A dynamic internship provider seeks ambitious individuals for a 12-month internship as Junior Merchandisers. This program is designed for unemployed youth in Durban, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in merchandising, work alongside professionals, and enhance employability. Successful candidates will perform various merchandising duties. Stipend of R3500 offered.

  • No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Determine stock to be merchandised.
  • Draw stock requirements.
  • Check product quality, stock rotation, price tags.
  • Execute merchandising activities as per cycle brief.
  • Feedback on customer complaints and queries.
  • Communicate product knowledge and promotions.
  • Record merchandising activities.
  • Perform calls as per call cycle.
  • Advise on out-of-stock products.

Successful candidates will be working as Junior Merchandisers performing the following duties:

  • Determine stock to be merchandised
  • Draw stock requirements
  • Check vintage, product quality on the shelf, stock rotation, and price tags
  • Execute merchandising activities as per cycle brief
  • Feedback on customer complaints, queries, and requests
  • Communicate and upkeep knowledge of product and promotions
  • Effectively record merchandising activities
  • Execute calls as per call cycle
  • Advice RSM on out-of-stock products

Requirements:

  • Between the ages of 18 and 28 years
  • NCV Level 4 Certificate in a relevant field
  • No prior work experience required
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a professional environment

Duration:

  • NCV Level 4 Internship: 12 months
Stipend:
  • R3500
