A leading medical technology distributor seeks a National Warehouse and Logistics Manager to enhance operational efficiency and oversee logistics for the company’s national warehouse. Applicants should hold a relevant BA Degree and possess over 5 years of experience in warehouse management, including 2 years in a managerial capacity. Our client is a long-standing Medical Technology company that is a distributor for medical technology products including medical equipment, devices and consumables for a number of Agencies across a wide range of therapeutic areas

Job purpose / summary

The company wishes to employ a National Warehouse and Logistics Manager who will be responsible to enhance and manage the national warehouse, the companies warehouse management system, oversee National Logistics and suppliers and the company’s vehicle fleet and fuel cards. The main warehouse is at Head Office in Johannesburg with branches in major centres with smaller warehousing and logistics functions.

The successful candidate will be based at the Company’s head office in Sandton Johannesburg and will report to the Operations Director

Qualification and requirements

Please Note : Preference will be given to EE candidates

• Relevant BA Degree (NQF7 or higher)
• Worked in a warehouse manager environment for more than 5 years with at least 2 years in a management role
• Demonstrate Leadership capabilities and experience including handling of team motivation, team performance and discipline
• Knowledge of transport / fleet / warehouse management
• In current role for more than 3 years (job movements criteria)
• South African Citizen / EE requirements are given preference

Skills required

• ACCPAC / SAGE 300 experience beneficial or related ERP
• Granite experiences an advantage
• Take responsibility for the safekeeping of stock under their care
• Ability to work well under pressure / frequent interruptions

• Contain costs of all warehouse and logistics related issues
