We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our pharmaceutical sales operations across South Africa.
This strategic role is ideal for a results-driven leader with deep industry knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, optimizing performance, and aligning commercial strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed business targets.
- Define clear sales goals and KPIs; monitor team performance and provide actionable insights.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to guide strategic decisions.
- Leverage CRM systems and sales analytics tools to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in IQVIA Script Data analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of pharmaceutical sales representatives.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the HRT landscape and market dynamics.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and innovations within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Cultivate strong relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage key partnerships.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Manage budget planning, resource allocation, and inventory oversight.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies.
- Drive operational efficiency and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing sales targets.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics platforms.
